'Love Drunk' by new UK artist, Loick Essien hits the chart this week at no.56.
Dubbed one of the UK's most promising talents to emerge from the urban scene, 19 year old Loick has his first major release on RCA/Sony. Produced by the man behind Tinie Tempah's No.1 single 'Pass Out,' Labrinth creates yet another track that's caught the ears of many and with Loick's soulful voice blessing the track it's only right the singles made the chart. I'll be keeping my eye on it's position to see if it climbs in the following weeks.
But more interestingly to me, they've done a remix with Northwest London rapper K Koke. For those who aren't familiar with the guy, he's recently been on the lips of many in the industry following his feature on Charlie Sloth's (BBC1xtra ) radio show earlier this year. K Koke is far from your light rapper with a slightly notorious story behind him which makes for an interesting choice of feature on a first single.
